Resource Center for Independent Living Reimbursement Specialist Supervisor in Utica, New York
Annual Exempt Salary: $58,458.40
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Self-Direction Reimbursement Specialists.
Oversee accurate and timely processing of reimbursements.
Communicate with staff, participants, families, and brokers for necessary clarification when reviewing reimbursements.
Provide resolution for disputed invoices.
Provide Quality Review/Training for staff as needed.
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service or finance field is preferred.
Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years working in the human services field. Education may be considered in lieu of this requirement. A minimum of three years supervisory experience is required.
Knowledge: OPWDD Policies and Procedures; Independent Living Philosophy and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Financial acumen. Mathematical, Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service. Interpersonal, computer and organization skills. Ability to make decisions independently. Problem solving. Ability to work with diverse individuals. Manage uncomfortable situations.

37.5 hour work week, 7.5 hour work day, flexible work schedule menu to include the ability to work: a four-day work week, four-day work week, every other week, or a typical five-day work schedule
