The Pike Company Project Manager II in Utica, New York

Looking to take ownership of exciting projects from start to finish? Pike Construction Services is currently recruiting for a Project Manager II to work out of Utica, NY and surrounding areas. This position will require someone who has that entrepreneurial drive and is willing to continue to grow a segment within our overall business. As the Project Manager II, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects as well as being the key person in continuing to develop and grow our small works/Pike Facility Services (PFS) division in Utica.

The ideal candidate would:

  • have led multiple building construction projects successfully from start to finish from $10,000 - $1M.

  • be able to create a SOW from a jobsite walkthrough and develop a job cost estimate and schedule.

  • be able to assemble and manage a team of superintendents and field personnel for self-perform work in the areas of demolition and carpentry trades.

  • have experience soliciting subcontractors/vendors to perform work.

  • accountable for leading and overseeing the day-to-day management of several projects.

    In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, crafting precise estimates, building efficient schedules, and managing your project from conception to completion.     Education/Experience :

  • Candidates must have Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited institution in related field; and/or a minimum of 3 years’ as a successful Project Manager I; or a minimum of 10 years’ equivalent experience in the construction industry, required.

  • Lead Project Manager (PM) on multiple successful projects from start to finish, required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications as well as construction software usage, contract documents and job documentation, required.

  • Cost/Estimating experience, required.

  • Proficiency in CAD and or REVIT, preferred.

  • Critical path method (CPM) project scheduling, preferred.

    The base salary range for this position is $73,800 - $110,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
