Job Title: AutoCAD DrafterJob Description
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter with knowledge of NYSDOT standards and practices. The ideal candidate will work on various design and topographic surveys, stream cross sections, and acquisition mapping projects. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying and engineering principles.
Responsibilities
Utilize Carlson Design Software for various projects.
Conduct design surveys for roads, bridges, culverts, paving projects, and dams.
Perform topographic surveys for ball fields, airports, and hazardous waste sites.
Complete stream cross sections.
Execute acquisition mapping using NYSDOT Manual Standards.
Conduct ALTA/NSPS surveys.
Perform boundary retracement surveys.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience with Carlson Software.
Knowledge of topographic surveys.
Understanding of appropriation mapping.
Civil engineering knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to pay attention to details and be a self-starter.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Strong organizational skills.
Work Environment
The candidate will need to have their own computer with necessary software installed, as the client will not provide a computer. The position requires an average of 25 hours of work per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
