Essential Functions:
Operates milling machines and lathes.
Completes machining and fabrication activities from blueprints.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues plan wide.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery as directed.
Responsible for maintenance on grounds, including landscaping, mowing, snowplowing, and snow shoveling/salting.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in identifying and resolving safety hazards.
Assist with other production and support activities as required, including but not limited to quality testing, sewing machine setup and repair, shipping and receiving.
Assist in coordinating contracted services when necessary.
Deliver production goods to local customers when necessary.
Maintains buildings, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, building construction, and other related maintenance activities.
Serve as backup with housekeeping of all buildings, including cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping of all flooring, vacuuming offices and all carpets, and emptying all trash/recycling bins.
Education & Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Valid New York State Driver’s License in good standing.
Experience in working with electricity and electronics in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Must be able to operate machine shop equipment including milling machines, lathes, and powered hand tools.
Experience with Carpentry.
Basic Experience with welding and fabrication.
Basic computer proficiency required.
Basic math skills.
Strong team player.
This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness.
Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English.
