Job Description Summary

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be working on new design and development of products, solutions and systems, including technical improvement of existing products and components. Also, you will impact departmental operations and you will be responsible for planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for semiconductor design and engineering, which includes designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

  • Tasked with determining design approaches and parameters.

  • Analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating the results.

Required Qualifications & Soft skills

  • Seeking candidates with solid professional experience in electronics engineering, demonstrating a solid foundation and expertise in this field.

  • Allegro Systems Expertise: Deep experience in Allegro (OrCad) CIS and PCB Designer for HW design, implementation, and verification across various systems, or equivalent expertise in comparable systems.

  • Cyclotron System Development experience : Design and ongoing enhancement of cyclotron systems for healthcare, focusing on hardware design and system reliability, is highly valued but not a prerequisite.

  • Advanced Design Skills: Utilizing advanced schematic design, simulation, PCB layout, and programming skills in contributing to innovative technology solutions.

  • Component Management: Experience in redesign electronic systems for strategically updating key components to meet evolving needs and ensure product longevity.

  • Preferred Programming Language Skills: While not mandatory, candidates with demonstrated proficiency in C/C++, Assembly, Python, and VHDL are highly desirable. Such experience indicates a candidate's ability to offer versatile development and programming capabilities.

  • Quality, Cost, and Lifecycle Oversight: Commitment to surpassing quality and cost goals, maintaining design integrity, and managing product lifecycle to extend beyond 20 years, ensuring long-term product viability, such expertise is highly beneficial.

  • Independent Initiative and Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with suppliers, sourcing teams, and other departments, using your interpersonal skills and creativity to overcome complex challenges and drive project success. You should be able to work independently, taking initiative on tasks, while also being a team player who contributes to collective problem-solving efforts.

  • Communication and Bilingual Proficiency: Possess excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, facilitating clear and effective collaboration across diverse team members and stakeholders.
