Triangle Manufacturing 2nd Shift - CNC Operator in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey

SUMMARY

Responsible for meeting customer requirements of on-time delivery and quality through the effective operation of conventional and/or CNC equipment while adhering to the Quality Management System, all applicable regulations and company standards, and Lean Manufacturing Principles, and performing the following duties.

2nd Shift - 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Understands job specifications and blueprints, as instructed.

Independently operates conventional and CNC machining centers.

Tests and inspects products during the manufacturing operation to determine if items meet specifications, complying with established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation, and calibration.

Understands and follows all written instructions as per tool sheets, inspection plans, etc., and accurately completes all required documentation at the time of the task, as well as provides required data for established metrics in the area.

Examines defective machinery to determine problems and reports the need for machine repairs.

Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, and corrects damage.

Recommends process improvements to TC or management.

Completes all required documentation on a timely basis.

Understands and complies with company policy, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and housekeeping standards.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years CNC machinist experience. Mechanical inspection background.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to update job-related documentation. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
