The College of Arts & Architecture is working to establish a culture of anti-racism and anti-oppression that embraces individual identities, fosters a culture of inclusion, and promotes equity through curricula, values, standards, ideals, policies and practices. The ideal candidate will provide evidence of their experience with, and interest in, contributing to these goals.

Housed in the Office of Academic Affairs and Outreach, the primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all admissions/enrollment responsibilities across the eight units within the College to enroll the targeted first-year student goal each year and maintain or improve retention rates throughout the College. This position assists academic units in recruiting and retaining a diverse student population and serves as college liaison with the University equity affairs community. This role works with the College Office of Access and Equity to provide support for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging support while providing DEIB engagement opportunities for students throughout the College.

Main duties for this position include: admissions/enrollment services; equity/retention/engagement programming; access program management (e.g. Bunton-Waller program, Minority Scholars Program); College representation on university educational equity and admissions committees; scholarship awarding, recruitment/enrollment and retention data tracking and reporting; enrollment management strategic planning; supervision of college engagement and admissions staff; and, coordination with faculty assigned to admissions and engagement endeavors. This position reports to the associate dean of academic affairs and outreach and works closely with the associate dean for access and equity in the College of Arts & Architecture.

Required:

  • Evidence of equitable considerations, awareness, and practice with regard to inclusive practices in educating diverse student bodies and working with a diverse faculty, staff or work population to cultivate a culture that supports success and enables all members of a community to thrive.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 6+ years of relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Experience working in the areas of admissions, financial aid, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access.

  • A successful candidate will have the following strengths:

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate well in writing.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized,

  • Data management and analysis skills,

  • Ability to operate as a team while being a self-starter,

  • Relatability to a wide range of audiences (faculty, staff, students, families, public).

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
