JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University has an excellent opportunity in the Enterprise Systems and Services Division for a talented and driven Systems Administrator to join its Integration and Workload Automation Team in support of their Informatica Integration Platform and BMC Control-M Enterprise Scheduler. This role offers full remote work opportunities for candidates based in the United States and work hours will align with the Eastern Standard Time zone. Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Overall maintenance, service delivery and technical support of production batch workloads across various enterprise systems using BMC's Control-M
Overall maintenance, service delivery and technical support of workloads across various enterprise systems using Informatica Integration Platform
Ensure proper installation, configuration and management of Control-M application software with the objective of providing a robust and stable environment
Work directly with customers and vendors on technical setup of application-specific connections
Lead batch troubleshooting and problem resolution
Maintain all data sources and data storage options
Administer integration requests and analyze issues to provide effective resolution
Monitor system operation and performance and provide effective and efficient resolutions to incidents
Collaborate with partners to analyze requirements, determine scope and specifications
Meet defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects
Participate in project planning efforts
Identify ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness providing innovative solutions to business needs
The 24/7/365 availability of campus services requires support outside of regular working hours and may involve participation in an on-call rotation schedule
Conduct technical walkthroughs, report project status, enable vendor solutions, and provide accurate and concise documentation
Adhere to University standards, best practices, accessibility requirements, coding practices, and security
Define and maintain standard operating procedures, disaster recovery procedures, user operations manuals, and other documentation
Communicate and escalate degradations and outages
Set up user access controls, roles, and permissions in line with data governance policies
Perform Informatica administration activities which includes creating connections, upgrades, and secure agent installation
Lead and/or provide technical guidance to staff and teams
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
This position will be filled as an Advanced Professional or Senior Professional depending on the final applicant’s experience and education. The Advanced Professional requires a minimum of a bachelor's Degree and 3+ year(s) of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education and/or experience are required for higher-level positions.
2+ years’ experience in system administration with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
2+ years’ experience in system administration with BMC Control-M
Experience collaborating effectively with team members and partners in a project environment
Excellent communication skills and able to successfully articulate technology concepts to both business and technology audiences
Experience with data and application integrations
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Strong software and system architecture skills
Enthusiasm to learn new skills and technologies
Strong business analysis skills
Experience with relational databases and non-relational data sources (MSSQL, Oracle, and flat files)
Experience in Linux, Windows and z/OS platforms
Experience in file transfer technologies (SFTP, FTPS)
Experience working in Unix Shell, Windows batch scripting
Experience in Informatica Application Integration components like Processes, Service Connectors, and Process Objects
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
Agile methodologies, code reviews, and test-driven development
Cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure)
Experience in higher education
Working knowledge of source control tools (GitHub)
Service Management tools (ServiceNOW)

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$76,700.00 - $129,500.00
