JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State is seeking candidates for a Graphic Design Specialist. The final candidate will support Project PA, a collaboration between Penn State University's Department of Nutritional Sciences and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition, which partners with schools and their communities to provide sound nutrition education and to promote children's healthy eating behaviors.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design multimedia layouts using programs such as Camtasia and Storyline to develop multimedia versions of online training modules.

  • Design illustrations using programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to assist in the design and layout of print materials.

  • Design and/or edit websites including sites through which training program registration will take place.

  • Edit photography video and print materials.

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires an Associate Degree or higher, plus two years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with the administration of Moodle, a course management system, is a plus.

  • This position requires a highly organized self-starter with excellent time management skills who works well independently.

Additional Information:

This is a limited-term staff position, funded through September 30, 2024, with an excellent possibility of renewal.

Flexible Work Arrangements:

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
