Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Corporate Engagement, as well as other partners, the Director of Corporate Engagement is a core staff member of the Corporate Engagement Center. • Work closely with key leadership and faculty throughout Penn State, including the Penn State Commonwealth Campuses, through taking a holistic approach to industry partners.

This position will be filled as Principal Professional or Senior Professional, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. • A dedication to and understanding of the skills required to build relationships with diverse communities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Coordinate corporate and foundation relations with other University offices to develop and assess joint activities.

  • Act as liaison between University officials and fundraising boards and/or campaign committees; serve on various boards and direct committees as requested.

  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team.

  • A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored.

Operation of a motor vehicle as part of the position’s duties and a valid driver's license are required. Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check, in addition to standard background checks, is also required.

Penn State is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to flexible work arrangements should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
