JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work at Commons Desk Operations for University Housing. CSR performs customer service responsibilities for residential students, conference and camps participants, and visitors.

Duties include:

  • Processing USPS mail and package deliveries; forwarding USPS mail

  • Issuing and tracking residence hall room keys per guidelines and maintaining key inventory

  • Submitting work orders for core changes; issuing temporary ID cards

  • Processing payment for various transactions using register system and maintaining a cash drawer

  • Processing loaner room key sign-outs and core changes

  • Processing sign-outs of recreational equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.

  • Tracking and handling Lost and Found items per University policy

  • Communicating policies and procedures to customers and student employees.

Requires the operation of various office equipment and computer systems. Work location may vary between the six Commons Desks Operations as necessary for coverage and duties.

Additional Information:

Typical work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday 7:30am - 4:30pm (Sunday and Monday off), with some variation for special events and summer operations.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a high school diploma and one (1) year of relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$31,600.00 - $45,800.00
