JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Assistant Director, Additive Manufacturing and Design Program, Engineering The School of Engineering Design and Innovation (SEDI) seeks a dynamic Academic Program Specialist (Advanced Professional or Senior Professional) to oversee the operational and administrative aspects of its educational programs, including the Additive Manufacturing and Design (AMD) and Doctorate of Engineering (DEng) graduate programs. This role will manage curriculum development, delivery, recruitment, and industry partnerships, while enhancing program visibility and ensuring alignment with academic and industry needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management: Lead strategic planning, program development, and process improvements. Act as the liaison between faculty, students, and stakeholders to resolve program-related issues.

Curriculum Development & Delivery: Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and deliver courses, ensuring alignment with academic standards and industry trends. Oversee course proposal processes and ensure effective course delivery.

Recruiting & Admissions: Develop recruitment strategies, engage prospective students, and manage the admissions process.

Industry Engagement: Build relationships with industry partners to enhance curriculum and create job placement opportunities.

Student Support: Provide academic advising, coordinate student activities, and track student progress toward program completion.

Budget & Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to manage program budgets and identify funding opportunities.

Collaboration: Foster synergies between academic units and streamline processes to improve program efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: This position will be filled at the Advanced Professional or Senior Professional level, depending on the final applicant's experience and education.Advanced Professional requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional experience and/or education are required for higher level positions, Master's degree, and 6+ years or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in graduate program coordination is preferred. Experience with systems such as Microsoft products, GRADS, iTwo, Lionpath, SIMBA, 25live, SAP Concur, and Canvas are preferred.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $56,200.00 - $89,600.00
