POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is a support staff position designed to support the facilitation of student enrollment in apprenticeships across all academic divisions. The role will provide outstanding customer service to internal and external partners. This consists of coordinating the class enrollment process for all apprentices. This position is responsible for aiding businesses in the business apprenticeship application, registration of employees for classes and monitors the business adherence to the agreed upon apprenticeship plan. The role provides additional administrative support for students engaged in work experiences such as co-ops and internship opportunities with businesses in the community

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

SUPPORT OF STUDENT APPRENTICES

Coordinate a variety of apprenticeship activities including: evaluation of student transcripts, addressing student phone calls and classroom concerns, coordination of registration process, communicate with student regarding schedules and registration invoices, audit student records for completion, and maintain individual student curriculum sheets and track student progress.

Ensures all apprenticeship students are registered, have access to materials, and connected to faculty/class.

Assists in securing all needed student account waivers

Works collaboratively with billing to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all student apprenticeship is received by business.

Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as directed.

Update and maintain Master Schedule and apprentice progress databases.

Using copy provided by Apprenticeship Operations Manager this role is responsible to maintain all public Delta College apprenticeship related website content/pages and internal Delta student portal site as directed

SUPPORT OF WORKFORCE EXPERIENCE

Using copy provided by Workforce Experience Manager, this role is responsible to maintain all public Delta College work experience related website content/pages and internal Delta student portal site as directed.

Maintain online resources and databases for job interviewing prep for students. Refer students to resume writing and interviewing resources

Secure business commitment, coordinate with Delta College to implement College wide Job fairs for students.

Represent apprenticeship and work experiences while attending public events and college wide events as directed.

Receive and process all general inquiries into workforce experience and direct as appropriate

INDUSTRY SUPPORT

Provide customer service to internal and external partners. This consists of managing and coordinating the process of all incoming apprentices.

Collaborate with external partners to aid them in apprenticeship registration of new and existing students. This process will include electronic and written correspondence regarding course schedules, semester invoices, and other paperwork for external partners.

Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Operations Manager, company apprenticeship liaisons, and other Delta departments for placement and promotion of apprenticeships, coops and interns.
