Delta College Associate Dean - Health and Wellness in University Center, Michigan
Position Title: Associate Dean - Health and Wellness (On Site - University Center, MI) Employee Group: Administrative/Professional Status: Full-time Starting Salary: $87,738 -- $99,133: Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Academic Dean, the Associate Dean provides administrative management and leadership in the Health and Wellness Division. The primary responsibilities are to support academic management and operations of the division, while supporting the Academic Deans in furthering the College's academic mission to ensure student success in degree completion, transfer to university, entry-level employment, or career advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited to the Following:
- Provides strong leadership and team-building for division faculty and staff.
- Aligns and administers the Division's strategic plan with Academic Services and College Strategic Plans.
- Develops and mentors professional growth and student-centered program pedagogy and andragogy.
- Develops and implements annual plans for improving program offerings and services to increase student success and program completion.
- Develops the course schedule under the Academic Deans' leadership to meet student needs and contractual obligations while ensuring teaching assignments are fulfilled.
- Ensures that programs, courses, and instruction meet student transfer, job entry, and career advancement needs.
- Supervises and evaluates faculty and assigned divisional staff in accordance with College policies.
- Resolves or refers student concerns, and coordinates student input into faculty evaluations.
- Works with Deans and Faculty on new program development.
- Participates in the promotion and tenure process according to College policies.
- Collaborates with administration and faculty to advocate for and address faculty concerns.
Adjunct Faculty:
- Coordinates with Human Resources and program faculty for the recruitment and orientation of adjunct faculty.
- Monitors adjunct faculty performance and makes staffing changes when necessary.
Budget and Equipment:
- Analyzes enrollment data and expenditures, and involves faculty in data review and strategies to build enrollment and manage costs.
- Assesses and administers equipment, technology, and supply needs within budget guidelines.
Program Accreditation and Program Review:
- Monitors compliance with accreditation requirements, including yearly reporting and re-accreditation processes.
- Ensures certification/licensure results and graduate survey data are documented and available on the College website.
- Works with program coordinators and Academic Deans to ensure program reviews contribute to student success strategies.
Other Duties:
Collaborates with other areas across the College, such as Student Educational Services and Finance, to support student success.
Participates in Academic Council, Deans' Council, Curriculum Council, and other committees as assigned.
