Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Union County, New Jersey
Description We are presenting a contract to permanent for an employment opportunity as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the manufactoring industry. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing accounts receivable tasks for large retail stores, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and handling various account-related inquiries. You will also be tasked with performing reconciliations, cash applications, and multitasking across different vendor portals.
Responsibilities: • Carry out account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy in records • Handle cash applications as part of the day-to-day responsibilities • Perform collections with big box retail stores to ensure timely payments • Address short payments and resolve any related issues promptly • Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency • Utilize Sage Software for various accounts receivable functions • Leverage Microsoft Excel for tasks such as Vlookups and pivot tables • Enter vendor invoices as part of the account management process • Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed to support accounts receivable operations • Manage B2B collections to ensure timely payment and account accuracy Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to accurately enter vendor invoices • Skilled in cash applications • Strong account reconciliation skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with B2B collections • Familiarity with collections processes • Ability to perform ad hoc analysis • Previous experience in the retail industry is a plus
