Kuehne+Nagel QSHE Safety and Health Specialist in Union City, Georgia

Your Role

As a QSHE Safety and Health Specialist you will act as the point of contact for all environmental matters at the Union City, Georgia facility. You will be responsible for compiling data and creating comprehensive reports on company requirements and metrics related to environmental targets. You will be responsible for communicating environment related topics between the various departments. You will work Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and will be paid weekly at $29.25 per hour.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain complianceto the requirements of the KN US Safety and Health ManualLead a “Safety Committee” withinthe branch to regularly review and perform maintenance activities to thelocal SH system.

  • Provide and ensure Safety andHealth Training for all employees (Awareness, Hazard Certifications, PITetc.).

  • Ensure local work instructionsexist for all mechanical operating equipment and tools.

  • Investigate and report on allincidences relating to injuries, property damage and near misses.

  • Maintain organized InjuryManagement records for OSHA reporting.

  • Ensure weekly / monthly safetyinspections are performed and findings are documented and follow upconducted.

  • Perform annual Safety Drills(Evacuation, Seek-shelter).

  • If applicable, hold annual SpillDrills.

  • Maintain equipment maintenancerecords.

  • Annual review and maintenance ofbranch specific ERP, Hazcom, andDRP/BCP.

  • Maintain safety and healthcertifications if applicable, such as to OHSAS 18001.

  • Otherduties may be assigned.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.

  • A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in customer service or quality assurance.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.

  • Experience with SAP or any Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is highly desired.

  • Exercises initiative in following up on pending issues and action items.

  • Ability to effectively solve problems.

  • Abilityto establish priorities and multitask.
