Compensation: $74,100 - 101,400 Annually

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor for one of the world’s leading global providers of integrated logistics services offering air & ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, domestic transportation, contract logistics and distribution. The Material Handler Supervisor role carries a varied set of responsibilities towards the outbound management of inventory within a 45,000+ square foot operation dedicated to a single client’s distribution and fulfillment needs. Administering & maintaining Quality Assurance processes, systems, and tasks in a dedicated role for a DC at Omni Logistics in Union City, CA. Collaboration, implementation, and monitoring functions are key elements of the position.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Ensure compliance with relevant quality, regulatory, and compliance standards
Manage and execute the training and development of account personnel
Conduct audits of DC operational processes
Review and advise with regards to operations and quality documentation for the inbound operations of the DC
Supervising 4+ account dedicated staff members
Working with operations management and account supervisors to ensure high quality performance, strict process & safety adherence, and continuous improvement
Support the execution of performance assessments, risk assessments, & quality investigations
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5 years of warehouse and/or distribution leadership (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Lower-level management/supervisory role over staff/personnel within a distribution, warehouse, and/or 3PL facility
Adequate knowledge, experience, and/or understanding of the supply chain industry
Performance standards and KPI metric development
Safety Compliance (OSHA etc.)
IMS/WMS Systems
Adequate understanding of value-added services
Experience and knowledge of 5S, Lean, or similarly principled methodologies
Kamishibai Management (Lean)
Reverse Logistics Management, Handling & Processing
Competent levels of proficiency in administrative and reporting tools/applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
Forklift certification and/or license a plus
5S, Lean, or similar training/certifications
Hazardous Materials Storage and Shipping
