Knorr Brake Corp. Brakes and HVAC Repair Technician in Union City, California

The Brakes and HVAC Repair Technician provides repair or overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
  • Disassemble equipment and clean as needed.
  • Perform initial evaluation and inspection of equipment as assigned. Provide feedback as to what parts and labor are needed for repair.
  • Document evaluation findings and generate a Technician Evaluation Report.
  • Routing of wires and installing crimp terminations and/or connectors.
  • Test and record results for subassemblies and assemblies.
  • Perform component level and some system level testing as instructed.
  • Interpret readings of gages, indicators, and dials.
  • Assist in testing equipment and recording test results.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment as instructed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
  • Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
  • Maintain and safeguard business records
  • Technician will be trained HVAC repair skill and EPA 608 certification will be required

  • Mechanical Aptitude: equipment maintenance, mechanical inspection tools and tooling
  • Time Management to ensure equipment is ready for scheduled repair or overhaul

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (data entry and report writing)

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED

The base pay range for this role is$25.62. The company reasonably expects to pay within that range, however, Knorr Brake Company considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
