JOB SUMMARY

  • The Senior Sales Manager is a luxury specialist responsible for providing account management and business development for Bulgari Resort Bali’s most profitable luxury travel agencies in the given geographical markets. This role will also be responsible for managing all market activations with the intent to increase Bulgari brand preference, loyalty, and profitable share from in the assigned markets. This role will also be responsible for generating new relationships with DMCs, concierge companies and high-end individuals’ bookers/travel advisors.

  • By applying the principles of strategic account management, this position ensures pull-through of overall business strategies to build long-term relationships between Bulgari Resort Bali and the Travel Industry. The position will focus on new business development of strategic accounts with potential to sell Bulgari Bali. Specific areas of responsibility include providing key input on the overall strategy for deployed accounts, implementing strategies to position the resort as the preferred luxury partner and grow market share in the luxury segment, owning the return on investment (ROI) for their accounts and liaising with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts Sales Offices around the world to ensure effective pull-through of luxury segment strategies to achieve results.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing and Hotel or related major

  • 2 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

  • Previous luxury leisure experience

  • 4 or more years of hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance

  • Prior experience in managing Asia based luxury travel accounts

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia

  • Targets accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account engagement.

  • Identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.

  • Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue.

  • Develops effective sales plans and actions.

  • Works with partners to develop creative ideas and proposals for events.

  • Maximizes revenue by upselling packages.

  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

  • Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.

  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

  • Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.

SUPPORTING DEVELOPING AND EXECUTING SALES STRATEGIES

  • Directs the property’s Leisure Sales Team function verifying that client expectations and production goals are met.

  • Works with sales leader to promote understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.

  • Works with management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM)

MAXIMIZING REVENUE

  • Provides positive and aggressive leadership to promote maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).

  • Recommends booking goals for sales team members.

  • Directs the solicitation and business negotiation efforts to maximize room revenue and achieve sales goals.

MANAGING SALES ACTIVITIES

  • Monitors all day to day activities of direct reports.

  • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

ANALYZING AND REPORTING ON SALES AND FINANCIAL DATA

  • Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property’s financial room and catering goals.

  • Assists Revenue Management with completing financial projections.

PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies customer service and creates a positive example for guest relations.

  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

  • Meets with guests during pre- and post-convention meetings to obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction.

BUILDING SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Event Booking Center, Market Sales, Global Sales Organization (GSO)) to verify the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative.
