DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

CHRYSALIS Supported Living Services is located in Ukiah and is locally owned and operated. CHRYSALIS supports adults who live in their own homes. We serve people with developmental disabilities, behavior challenges and mental health disorders. CHRYSALIS provides services through funding from Redwood Coast Regional Center.

We offer paid overnight shifts! Other agencies do not pay for sleep time.

UP FRONT we provide 24 hours of sick leave (after 90 days)

AND up to 32 hours of accrued vacation

We provide annual bonuses even if you've only worked a few months! We offer paid mileage when you transport clients or perform duties for clients with your personal vehicle. We offer a company matched retirement plan (up to 3%!) to all employees meeting certain criteria. Yes, we do drug test, but not for Cannabis.

DUTIES:

Reading, writing, and carrying out written and verbal instructions

Charting or taking notes for others to review

Providing companionship and supportive listening

Reporting changes in the health or status of the client

Taking vitals, height, and weight, etc.

Assisting with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed

Report the status of clients health equipment

Responding to emergency situations

Transporting client to appointments

Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport

Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
