We have a fantastic opportunity for Technical Claims Handler in Glasgow

Are you ready to take charge and make impactful decisions from your desk? Our home claims team offers you the autonomy to act as a financial owner and decision-maker. With your strong background in property claims handling, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise while supporting our clients and customers.

You will manage a caseload of home claims, planning and controlling key stages. You'll appoint suppliers to visit sites and report based on your investigations. Collaboration with all stakeholders is essential to achieve the most satisfactory and efficient solutions.

We are looking for individuals who can deliver the highest technical quality and customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and discipline are crucial. Flexibility and a willingness to embrace change are a must, along with enthusiasm for industry-leading technology.

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • M ust possess extensive expertise in property claims : Able to demonstrate previous experience in a property claims environment is essential.

  • Excellent communication skills : You will interact with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You’ll need to explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all parties involved.

  • Commitment to professional development : A dedication to working towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification is essential.

  • Fraud management : Ability to identify, investigate, and manage fraud concerns effectively.

  • Technical proficiency : Setting accurate claims reserves, making payments, and recording, analysing, and presenting claims data.

  • Problem-solving skills : Resolve claims queries and problems, working closely with the wider team to ensure effective technical performance.

  • Relationship management : Develop and manage relationships with claims partners, update existing processes, and create new ones.

  • Process improvement : Suggest and implement improvements to our claims processes and procedures.

  • Training and development : Train and develop less experienced colleagues.

  • Adaptability : Be prepared to take on varied tasks and new responsibilities as needed.
