Curtiss-Wright Corporation Field Sales Engineer in UK, United Kingdom

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer to join our Corby team!

In this role, you will work with our Area Sales Managers in attending new customer meetings and supporting the ‘middle of the sale’ process by interfacing between the customer and the business on technical details to ensure the customers’ requirements are met.

You will be instrumental in managing the technical review process during the sale, explaining highly technical information whilst also promoting our products and focusing on getting Curtiss-Wright products designed in. You’ll be in regular contact with high-profile customers, so previous customer facing experience is a must.

Your Challenge

  • Lead presentations detailing Curtiss-Wright products and solutions to customers. Discuss how Curtiss-Wright products could be used to solve the customer’s problems.

  • Capture and analyse the customer’s requirements, identify candidate solutions, and discuss with the BUs to produce a compelling and interoperable solution.

  • Work with Business Units to produce a solution. Discuss and refine with the customer ahead of final proposal.

  • Perform analysis of competing solutions to ensure that the strengths and weaknesses of the Curtiss-Wright solution are understood.

  • Work with the Bid Team and Business Units to prepare a winning proposal meeting the technical needs of the customer.

  • Review of new product designs from Business Units and solicitation of market feedback from the customer base to support the Business Unit development plans.

  • Develop & maintain strong face to face relationships with customers that will necessitate overseas travel when required (likely, a few times a month).

  • Provides senior level technical support to the Sales Team and is responsible for the ‘middle of the sale’ and the technical solution.

  • Co-ordinates the technical bid response with various Business Units (BUs) and discusses the solution with the customer.

  • Compares solutions with competitor’s solutions to ensure a competitive and compelling offer is being made.

  • Develops strong working relationships with Product Marketing Managers in the Business Units.

  • Assists Product Marketing Managers defining new product by reviewing new product proposals.

  • Serves as company expert in providing the highest-level technical support for customers.

  • Has good communication skill to convey technical requirements and technical support.

What You Bring

  • Degree, or equivalent, in Electronic Engineering / Software Engineering.

  • Previous experience in a relevant similar position.

  • Team member

  • Pre technical sales experience
