Job Overview:
We are looking to hire an Intern to join the Audit Services Team
The Intern will report directly to the Sr. Mgr. Internal Controls, and is responsible for assisting in the conduct of financial, operational, business process or compliance audit activities or to conduct a review independently when required. The Auditor is responsible for working as part of a team and ensuring the team meets its goals. The Intern should be highly energetic, flexible, innovative, and willing to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist in identification of business objectives, risks and evaluate key controls. Evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiencies of the business processes, business units and projects, including internal control procedures and compliance with Company policies.
Assist in the execution of audits by performing test work in accordance with the audit program and guidance from the Team Leader.
Ensure the existence of appropriate documentation by the preparation of workpapers that adequately summarize the test work performed, observations made, and conclusions reached.
Identify opportunities for the use of data analytics to improve audit productivity and coverage.
Work with Management to develop acceptable solutions to address issues or gaps identified and follow-up with management to ensure remediation is implemented.
Ensure administrative efficiency by performing audit procedures within established deadlines.
Willing to work as an effective team member and positively contribute toward accomplishing team goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Learn key concepts of engineering/construction industry such as project management, project controls, percentage of completion accounting, contract administration, etc.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, engineering or other equivalent field.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills (English), both written and oral
Functional PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products and progressive ability to utilize data analysis software.
Willingness to comply with the Company’s Business and Legal Compliance policies and the Institute of Internal Auditor’s International Professional Practices Framework.
