Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Utilize a research-based coaching strategy which entails goal setting, mentoring and classroom observation of teaching staff.
- Responsible for supporting and engaging education staff identified for intensive coaching.
- Assess and identify teaching staff mentoring needs.
- Observe classrooms for child-teacher interactions using prescribed tools.
- Model effective teaching practices in early childhood education classrooms
- Offer support, guidance, and ideas to Education Coordinators and teaching staff to increase teaching strategies.
- Coordinate and ensure quality communication between education staff and supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with others, including giving and receiving feedback, and being an active listener.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, communication, and dissemination of data.
- Complete record keeping and reporting per prescribed timelines.
- Ability to travel, including overnight and/or out of town travel.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and stressful conditions.
- Continue ones own professional development.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with CC Idaho, local, state, federal, and other applicable regulations, and standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degrees in early childhood education or a degree in a related field
- Knowledge and experience with Head Start Performance Standards and Early Learning Outcome Framework
- Ability to work with adult and diverse learners.
- Current driver\'s license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance.
- Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis.
- Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred
- Ability to proficiently read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.
Required Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; to reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance; and smell.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
Work in an office or classroom setting; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate to elevated.
