Naval Medical Command MATERIALS HANDLER in Twentynine Palms, California

Summary

You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the DIRECTOR for ADMINISTRATION/MATERIALS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NMRTC TWENTY NINE PALMS CA.

Responsibilities

You will ensure prompt replenishment of stock through reordering supplies from Prime Vendors, Medical Inventory Control System (MICS), and/or Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System (DMLSS) computer program and Federal Supply Schedule.

You will store, deliver, issue, and ship medical and non-medical supplies and equipment.

You will maintain files for incoming material using purchase documents or other requisition forms.

You will assist in daily spot inventories to assess validity of stock records.

You will initiate survey document for expired stock or loss/gain by inventory.

You will be responsible for the computerized inventory record system.

Qualifications

-Conducting an annual wall-to-wall inventory to ensure variances are documented and fully explained to prevent reoccurring discrepancies;

-Ensuring proper receipt procedures are followed including inspection, verification, acceptance, and document distribution;

-Screening weekly orders from department to ensure that proper stock numbers and accounting information has been provided;

-Delivering of supplies to requiring activities to fulfill mission requirements.
