U.S. Marine Corps HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in Twentynine Palms, California

Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will repair major systems such as turbine engines, supercharged and turbocharged engines. You will perform Limited Technical Inspections (LTI's), troubleshoot and determine the cause of malfunctions and make repairs to a variety of heavy mobile equipment. You will use a wide variety of test procedures, special test equipment, and support equipment in tracing hard-to-locate problems. You will complete major repairs, overhauls, utilize advanced test and diagnostics equipment and perform modifications with little or no technical advice. You will be required to test the final product to include test drives, test firing weapons systems, and making final adjustments prior to retuning the repaired equipment to full service. You will be knowledgeable in the major systems such as diesel, multi-fuel and gasoline engines, supercharged and turbocharged engines, turbine engines, automatic and manual transmissions, and gear reduction systems. You will be knowledgeable in the mechanical makeup, operation, and working relationships of heavy duty systems to include assemblies and parts.
