Position Overview:

Under Director of Supply Chain Management supervision, this position will manage the staff and operations of a Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing area. Responsible for ensuring that processes/resources are optimized and followed, and equipment is functioning properly.

Key Job Duties:

  • Work with manufacturing personnel to produce a variety of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole Technology (THT) PCB assemblies.
  • Ensures product conformity to IPC specifications and quality standards (AS9100 and ISO 13485)
  • Supervise day to day activity for department including attendance, identifying training needs, compliance to company rules and personnel actions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processing problems
  • Recommend and improve manufacturing processes
  • Set-up related equipment to production schedules
  • Work with engineering to develop components for new programs, communicating BOM changes
  • Support maintenance activities to obtain quotes, negotiate delivery arrangements and locating new sources of supply
  • Process and communicate NCMRs internally
  • Inventory responsibilities, incumbent to coordinate cycle counts to sustain inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with QA, production, warehouse to resolve defective parts in a timely manner (MRB, RMA, RTV, rework and replacements).
  • Balance the material demand/supply and minimize stockout risk by analyzing the current inventory, forecasting the future needs, and scheduling the suppliers' shipments accordingly.
  • Monitor, control, and identifies opportunities to reduce cost of components, by developing new partnerships, negotiations and agreements.
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain team to prioritize, expedite and de-expedite work orders (OSP - Outside Services) and PO's based on material availability and changing requirements.
  • Support elaboration, communication and revision of SCM procedures, streamlining processes to highest efficiency

Requirements:

  • 5+ yrs. experience, PCB assembly, SMT, THT, coating and electro-mechanical manufacturing, preferably complex electro-mechanical or high-tech products.
  • PCB assembly equipment knowledge and experience; SMT Screen Printer, 3D SPI, Pick and Place, Reflow, AOI, X-Ray, Selective Soldering, Coating. Experience with Juki machinery.
  • Read/interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOM
  • Familiar with ESD protection measures and safe handling of electronic components
  • ERP systems
  • Excellent planning/organization
  • Interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Understanding of ITAR Regulations
  • Understand payment terms/trade compliance rules

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive sitting, standing, walking and lifting <50 lbs.

Education Requirements:

  • College/University Degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Prepare spreadsheets and use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
