Computer and Systems Operations Support Analyst

We are searching for an experiencedComputer and Systems Operations Support Analystat our Headquarters facility in Tuscaloosa, AL.

The primary responsibility of this position is to meet the computer support needs of internal employees in a call center environment. This includes the overall management of desktop/laptop assets deployed throughout the corporation. The Support Analyst deploys end-user computing equipment and guides employees regarding the general use of the equipment and corporate standard software. They interact with employees to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve computer-related problems. This position will also assist computer operations and Network Administrators with duties that include user administration, network access administration, data backup management, network and phone wiring, and support for phone systems.

The Computer Support Analyst is often the first person that engages with an employee regarding computer-related issues. The employee may be highly frustrated about the problem that they are having and may have difficulty in explaining the problem in technical terms. This position must be highly focused on customer service and demonstrate patience and understanding in the process of discussing the problem. There is often pressure to resolve problems quickly since computers are a vital part of daily processes. Like other positions within the department, this position holds multiple hats within the department. Over the years, this position has grown in its responsibility for cyber security as a Security Specialist. The main focus for the Security Specialist is to protect, prevent and remediate any cyber threat at the end user level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: -Images computers and deploys end-user computing equipment. -Troubleshoots and resolves computer hardware and software problems. -Interacts with associates to understand their computer-related problems. -Administers user login information and access to networks. -Manage routine server backup procedures. -Manage the inventory and deployment of end-user computing equipment. -Maintain proficiency in PC hardware and software technologies (research and training). -Patch management and software deployment. -Network and phone system physical setup. -Phone system management. -Manage hardware and software purchases. -Manage and provide solutions for end user security.

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent, Bachelors degree preferred

CompTIA A+ Certification and 1-2 years relevant experience

Ability toeffectively communicate with users regarding technical questions to understand and resolve computer-related problems

Analyzing input from associates about hardware and software problems to create resolution

Troubleshooting and determining the cause of problems with end-user computing equipment followed by developing and implementing a solution

Analyzing hardware/software requests from users and determining what equipment is best suited to meet the request

Proficient personal computer and Microsoft Office skills

Effectiveinterpersonal skills and detail oriented

Experience with network hardware configuration and integration
