Process Engineer Job Purpose: To provide injection molding processing and engineering expertise for a range of product and materials. Also are responsible for identifying and implementing innovative engineering technologies, which will deliver highly efficient and cost effective processes and equipment. Nature of Duties: Performs planning, development, support of design and installation of injection molding tooling, equipment and processes. Will act as an advocate of disciplined plastics engineering approaches using (ie. Robust Mold Trials, Systematic Molding Techniques, Standard Work Flow) Ensures that molding equipment meets specifications, schedules and budgets. Provide troubleshooting expertise and resolve Injection Molding problems using strong systematic trouble shooting techniques. Develop technical problem solving skills among process technicians. Provide key inputs and leadership into transformational process development Provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities. Lead or actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure New Product Introduction projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Lead and Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility. Actively interface with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work. Ensure all process development documents are completed in accordance with the Quality Management system to support a smooth transition to production. Support the implementation of all plant strategic initiatives. Ability to travel on short notice Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: A Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering/Sciences or engineering discipline. 5 years of experience in the Injection Molding Industry preferred. Must have a strong polymer processing knowledge and process development skills. Ability to work with vendors and suppliers to find solutions.
