This is a job for a Commercial Loan Operations Supervisor II position with the company located in Tupelo, MS area.

Job Summary: Assistant Manager of Corporate Banking Loan Operations Closing Team.  This position requires a comprehensive understanding of loan syndications and other complex commercial processes.  This individual is responsible for assisting the manager of the team, which includes but not limited to, policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, credit compliance, loan closing, settlement, loan booking, collateral, loan trading settlement, and employee evaluations.

Responsibilities: Assist in overall management of deal closers, quality analysts, and pre-closing documentation reviews against credit approvals, regulatory compliance reviews, funding's, and bookings. Close loans as assigned. Assist the manager in holding teammates accountable for meeting team performance goals and objectives. Provide guidance and coaching to teammates. Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new teammates. Assist in development, implement tools and procedures to aid in the flow of closing and booking activity. Assist in monitoring work queues to ensure performance is within service level agreement. Consistently exercise strong judgment around regulatory issues consulting with Compliance as needed. Read and interpret complex credit agreements and assess system functionality to book commercial deals in accordance with GAAP. Use comprehensive understanding of commercial loan activity to provide insight around collateral documentation and servicing of complex credits. Read and interpret credit approvals and credit policy to ensure compliance. Communicate effectively upward and downward, with outside attorneys, and other financial institutions. Evaluate processes ensuring internal and SOX controls remain compliant. Escalate potential client issues to the senior manager timely.

Qualifications:  College degree preferred in Banking & Finance or Accounting. Minimum 5-10 years' experience with Syndicated Loan Closings. Minimum 2 years supervisory or managerial experience. CLS (f.k.a) ACBS loan system expert. Regular and reliable attendance. Ability to lead. Results oriented and detailed driven. Operates with a sense of urgency. Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to read, interpret, and execute on applicable requirements. Ability to read and interpret complex loan agreements and assess system functionality to book and service complex credits. Excellent understanding of collateral documentation. Strong understanding of loan trading processes. Excellent understanding of loan accounting and revenue recognition requirements in accordance with GAAP. Ability to read and interpret credit approvals and credit policy to ensure compliance. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must be able to communicate upward and downward, with outside attorneys, and other financial institutions. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to make independent decisions daily. Strong sense of internal and SOX controls. Customer service focused.
