Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Help Desk Technician to provide on-site technical support in our client's office! The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other office peripherals.

  • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolution to ensure minimal disruption to office operations.

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system security and efficiency.

  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.

  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance on office equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and user guides.

  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.

  • Provide support for remote users as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or similar role in an office environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and common office software applications.

  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and conferencing systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.

  • Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar certifications.

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support.

  • Knowledge of office management systems and remote support tools.
