The team you will be a part of:
The Manufacturing Maintenance team plans, prioritizes and manages technical service activities to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that customer service agreements are fulfilled. Develops, evaluates and reviews technical service procedures and standards. Monitors the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and achieve timeliness, reliability and customer satisfaction standards.
This role in summary:
As the plant manufacturing leader this role leads maintenance, controls engineering, and facilities staff to execute continuous improvement projects aligned with World Class Manufacturing methodology, capacity projects, and risk to business projects. This role will be a significant contributor to the Plant's World Class Manufacturing route map strategy and execution, while developing team members in both technical and leadership acumen.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage the team of Controls engineering; Maintenance and Facilities, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure all equipment, machinery, Plant Facility and systems are operating efficiently.
Implement continuous improvements and upgrades to control systems and automation to enhance Quality, Production Efficiency and Safety.
Support cost improvement and capital improvement initiatives. Champion World Class Manufacturing initiatives through your team of direct and indirect reports focusing on going from a Reactive Maintenance approach into a Preventive Maintenance.
Develop strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met; talent development, customer focus and employee engagement.
Drive the WCM transformation through involvement in the strategic planning process and the execution of activities defined in that process to do the expansion and depth of the PM pillar across the facilities and support the AM expansion and depth.
Develop and mentor technical (skill trades, leaders, and engineering) resources in problem solving tools based on the suite of WCM.
Drive continuous improvement in the organizational, technical and business information processes/systems through lean/innovative thinking/ideas.
Drive the strategy for automation and industry 4.0 road map.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
5+ years leading others in a manufacturing environment
7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, process development, and/or project execution
Capital project management experience
Preferred skills and experiences:
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management
3+ years at a Manager level leading salaried direct reports
3+ years leadership experience in large manufacturing environment
Experience driving lean principles and philosophies
Experience driving World Class Manufacturing initiatives
Confidence and willingness to take calculated risks, implement new ideas, drive for results and sustain change
Ability to provide an engaging work environment
Management of priorities, expectations and accountabilities
Experience in attracting and developing talented people and effectively allocating and utilizing resources
Ability to grow individual and organization competency through proactive coaching and mentoring
Demonstrate ability to provide an engaging work environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolution
Effective communicator with the ability to support assembly processes 24 hours a day
