Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Tulsa, OK

Position Overview:

As a Manufacturing Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving efficiency . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and support product development. This position reports to the Vice President and General Manager of the Tulsa operation. Some travel/international travel may be required for vendor identification, vendor auditing, and equipment selection and acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement: Continuously assess and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate product quality for air-cooled heat exchangers. You will take a lead leadership role to identify and implement lean practices

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with the quality control team to establish and maintain stringent quality standards and procedures for air-cooled heat exchanger production.

  • Design Integration: Provide valuable input on designs to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer requirements.

  • Equipment Enhancement: Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, maintenance, or replacement to enhance production capabilities and minimize downtime in the manufacturing process. Take the lead managing and specifying new equipment as well as integration.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve production issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Documentation Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.

  • Cost Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce manufacturing expenses while upholding the highest product quality standards.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to support the development and introduction of new air-cooled heat exchanger products and technology.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
