About The Opportunity:

As the Service Training Staff Consultant, you will deliver technical training to Caterpillar Dealers and customers in both classroom-workshop training sessions at Caterpillar and in field locations. This role will be responsible for machines product with emphasis on machine drive train, engine, hydraulic systems and Failure Analysis training.

In this role you must be able to connect with Dealers and network with Caterpillar global business units / other training instructors to identify training needs, customise courses and deliver training.

You will be responsible for creating training materials, prepare training aids and tooling, ensure the training facility / workshop is maintained to Caterpillar Contamination Control Standards and write training reports.

Domestic and International travel at 25-50% will include regular training in the US for new courses. Instructor Accreditation for all relevant Caterpillar courses will be provided.

Required skills and experience:

  • Trade, Diploma or Engineering degree

  • Current mining equipment service and troubleshooting with advanced technology skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Independent, organised and a team player

  • Able to work autonomously within an close knit team to achieve mutual goals

Desired skills and experience:

  • Caterpillar industry experience and / or diesel engine and / mining experience

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
