Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

Join our team to provide and monitor depth and flow measuring devices in wastewater, drainage, and sewer systems for cities and counties. You'll perform fieldwork including installation, maintenance, and calibration of flow monitoring equipment. Responsibilities include measuring and recording flows, producing data and reports, and ensuring accuracy of flow readings. This role involves installing flow monitors within sewer lines, rainfall monitoring equipment, calibrating flow monitors, collecting and reviewing sewer flow and rainfall data, operating and maintaining monitors and gauges, and installing and checking alarm systems at overflow sites. Initially, you will assist the team without entering manholes or troubleshooting until fully trained.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Tukwila, Washington.

Work Environment

Work as part of a crew traveling to various sites from North Seattle to Portland/Salem. Nearly all trips are day trips with occasional overnights, including rare multiple overnights in Idaho or Oregon. The shift is from 6am to 3pm, flexible based on the day's tasks. Training, work orders, site sheets, safety forms, and timesheets are completed on computers. We use an in-house program for communication with flow monitoring equipment and email for company-wide communication. Candidates will be exposed to outdoor elements and, once trained, will enter manholes.
