Job Title: Production Support Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The primary mission of this role includes making quick assessments of problems, identifying additional information required, understanding the available resources, comparing the urgency of issues, and creating a path for troubleshooting and resolution. You will need to communicate this plan to a cross-functional team with diverse backgrounds and continue to drive updates and status along the way. Main functions include problem resolution of production factory and supplier issues, troubleshooting, maintenance of technical data packages including creation of change documentation using cPDM, and presentation of change packages in ERB/CCB. You will take ownership and drive issues to completion by coordinating team members and resources, participate in peer reviews of other engineers, and perform general electrical engineering tasks related to production support.
Hard Skills
Experience with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed signal testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems
Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
Electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystems
Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer
Experience with subsystems integration and test, post-test flight analysis, problem investigation, SPC methods, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices
Soft Skills
Ability to communicate plans to cross-functional teams
Self-starter capable of working independently and with a small technical team
Providing technical oversight and direction
Cost estimation, tracking & reporting
Coordination and preparation of detailed technical team reports
Proposal support
Work Environment
Engage in problem resolution of production factory and supplier issues, troubleshoot, and maintain technical data packages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive updates and status of plans. Participate in peer reviews and general electrical engineering tasks related to production support.
