About the Position:

The Clinical Documentation Specialist is an entry-level position and assists the Clinical Advisor, Campus Demonstrators and the Utilization Review Specialist with the collection and writing of various clinical documents, primarily the daily progress notes, and will develop skills in the areas of utilization management (UM), medical necessity, and student status determination

What You Will Do:

· Supports the clinical team by developing and/or maintaining effective and efficient processes for determining the appropriate enrollment status based on the regulatory and reimbursement requirements of various commercial and government payers.

•Provides additional support to the Utilization Reviewer specialists verifying the eligibility of student's insurance, both before enrollment and periodically during their stay.

• Produce weekly and monthly reports as required by Clinical Advisor.

• Handle phone calls and correspondence as required • Creating daily notes for all enrolled students with the support of the clinical advisor and other support faculty members.

• Helps Demonstrators with Daily progress notes management.

• Collects all daily progress notes each day

• Attend workshops, meetings, and trainings as requested by supervisor.

• May serve as Community Advocate role in addition to job as requested by community leadership.

• Performs other related duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

Required:

•High School Diploma or GED

• Two (2) years of relevant experience in administration or management role.

Certifications or Licenses Required:

• Valid AZDPS Fingerprint Clearance card.

• Current valid CPR and First Aid certification.

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) & ESR (Emergency Service Response) certification.

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
