\ Pay Range\ Hiring Range: \$15.75 - \$18.51 Per Hour\ Full Range: \$15.75 - \$21.26 Per Hour\ \ Salary offers are based on the candidate\'s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.\ \ This part-time position assists in overseeing recreational activities at the Drexel Heights Community Center.
Duties/Responsibilities
(Work assignments may vary depending on the department\'s needs and will be communicated to the applicant or incumbent by the supervisor.)\ \ Assists in overseeing any one of a number of recreation activities, such as sports, dance, twirling, crafts and table games;\ \ Assists in operation of leagues, tournaments, meets, and the daily programmed activities;\ \ Interprets and explains game rules and referees and umpires ball games;\ \ Keeps recreation facility in a clean and orderly condition;\ \ Issues receipts;\ \ Prepares cash reports;\ \ Gives information to the public regarding recreation facilities and programs;\ \ Shows movies;\ \ Maintains projection equipment;\ \ Tells or reads stories to children;\ \ Maintains attendance and other records and prepares reports.

- Experience with/knowledge of operating audio/visual equipment including soundboard, projector, DVD/Blu-ray.
- Experience with working at community events.
- Experience with/knowledge of working with children and/or adults in a recreation, social services, or educational setting.
- Experience with/knowledge of arts and crafts.
- Experience with/knowledge of sports, playgrounds, and group games.
