Today we manufacture the broadest assortment of residential and commercial garage doors and distribute our doors through the largest big box retailers and independent installing dealers nationwide.

Lead Loader / Dock Worker starting pay $21.30 plus $1.00 shift differential. Wage increases to $28.28 after 24 months.

Lead Loaders prepare finished doors and associated product for shipping and load onto trailers by stop, size, and weight.

Schedule:

4 weeks of training on 1st shift. Training schedule will be Monday - Thursday from 5a.m. to 3p.m. and Friday from 5a.m. to 1p.m. After training you will report to your scheduled shift.

2nd shift - Monday to Thursday 3p.m. - 1a.m. and Friday 3p.m. to 11p.m.

3rd shift - Monday to Thursday 9p.m. - 7a.m. and Friday 9p.m. to 5a.m.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, must be able to continuously lift up to and more than 100 lbs, and have the ability to work at a quick pace.

Responsibilities:

  • move materials from production and storage areas to designated shipping sites through use of tow motors, forklifts, and/or carts.
  • Stack materials onto skids or assemble into bundles in preparation for being loaded.
  • Load materials onto trailers by hand in a safe and orderly manner. This includes ensuring that the load is sorted according to stop so that material can be delivered and unloaded efficiently and loading the truck so that the weight is distributed appropriately, the load is secure, and the product does not get damaged during shipping.
  • Visually inspect products for damage before loading and to ensure that correct material is being shipped to the proper location.
  • Scan materials and complete Bills of Lading for all materials loaded.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must successfully pass a physical abilities test consisting of an aerobic step test and a 75lbs lift test
  • Ability to read and understand shipping tags and locate required doors and hardware.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, or decimals.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
