Vanderheyden Direct Support Professional - CS -Per Diem Weekends, $25/hour in Troy, New York
Job Description
MUST BE FULLY TRAINED IN TCI and/or SCIP. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND ALL REQUIRED TRAININGS.
Vanderheyden is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for per diem weekend shifts in our Community Services (CS) programs(working with Adults). The Weekend rate of $25/hr will be paid out for any shift from Qualified candidates for this role will be required to work at least one Saturday or Sunday per week, Must have proof of current SCIP certification, and remain up to date with required agency training including Fit for Duty physicals. Only those with proof of TCI or SCIP training will be considered for this weekend position.
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.
Requirements
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
Valid NYS driver's license
Valid TCI and/or SCIP certification
Valid CPR, First Aide and AED certification
Other required trainings
