We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Troy, New York. This role is in the Financial Services industry and will involve working within our office premises. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be assisting with tax work seasonally and providing investment support throughout the year. You will also be the face of the office, handling communications and phone calls.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in tax preparation during tax seasons, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.

• Provide support for investment activities throughout the year, including monitoring and updating investment records.

• Utilize Office 365 for various administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence.

• Serve as the first point of contact for office communications, managing phone calls and responding to inquiries professionally.

• Learn and adapt to new computer systems and software to improve efficiency and productivity.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools to perform various accounting functions.

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Requirements

• Prior experience of 1 year or more in an accounting or related role

• Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Skills in Auditing

• Willingness to learn new systems and processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
