Statewide Snow Services LLC Snow Removal Laborer in Troy, Michigan

Snow Removal Laborer. 12 temporary, full-time positions. 11/01/2024 to 05/01/2025. Statewide Snow Services LLC located at 650 E Big Beaver Road, Suite F, Troy, Michigan 48083. danjr@macleishbuilding.com.

Installation of winter protection / materials, fall clean-up including debris removal and planting tulip bulbs. Snow removal and ice control application using snow blowers, shovels, plows, and salt spreaders. Clear debris and damage from snow & ice storms. Clean up tree branches using chainsaws, handsaws, and clippers. Create sea walls by assembling mortarless natural stones and rocks. Replant trees torn up by winter storms or snow & ice removal. Spring clean-up including debris removal, winter protection removal, and planting trees. Clean up worksites. Wash, wax, organize, and prepare equipment for worksites. 35 hours per week. 7-hour workday. Monday - Saturday 7:30am-3:00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. Days off and shifts vary. 10-20 hours OT possible per week if weather dictates. No minimum education required. No minimum experience is required. Daily transportation provided by the employer to worksites. Work will be performed in the following counties: Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Missaukee, Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, Genesee, Lapeer, St Clair, Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Livingston, Ingham, Jackson, Washtenaw, Monroe, Barry, Eaton, Kalamazoo, and Calhoun. Wage: $17.82/hr. OT Wage: $26.73/hr. Workers paid biweekly. Optional board/lodging available at a cost to be deducted from pay if elected. $285.00 per month.

On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of total employment period.
