Controller

Our pharmaceutical client is seeking an interim Controller for a long-term engagement. This hybrid position will report directly to the Director of Finance and is located in Troy Michigan.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assist in setting up and implementing internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Transition the company's accounting system from cash-based to accrual-based

• Train and mentor the existing assistant controller to enhance their skills and knowledge

• Handle accounting functions, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient financial management

• Conduct auditing and budget processes to maintain financial health

• Use Quickbooks Online for various accounting tasks

• Establish and maintain internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements

• Ensure the company's financial records are up-to-date and accurately reflect the business's financial status.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Must be adept at handling all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must have experience in Auditing and internal control measures

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is needed

• Must have proficiency in Quickbooks Online

• Understanding of internal controls is essential
