The undergraduate Biology and Health Sciences Department at Russell Sage College invites applications for a 9-month, full time faculty position at the rank of tenure track Assistant Professor, effective Fall 2025.

The preferred candidate will possess an academic doctorate (PhD or equivalent in hand by the beginning of 2025-2026 academic year) in public health, biological anthropology, or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities include teaching courses on the integration of culture, health, and wellness, along with an introductory to health professions course. The ideal candidate will also teach a section of research methods for undergraduate health sciences students. Having the background to teach bioethics and/or exercise science enhances the candidate's application. A successful candidate will be able to mentor research students in addition to teaching. All faculty in the department advise students beginning their second year at Russell Sage College under the guidance of a mentor.

Prior undergraduate teaching experience in these areas is preferred. All courses offered by the department will be delivered in person. Candidates should anticipate that they will be teaching seven courses over the academic year.

Salary is commensurate with experience at a range of $53,000 to $56,500.
