We are looking for a Principal Design Engineer for development and design of composite and metallic structures for the Launcher product unit.

Your Responsibilities:

Assumption of design responsibility in various projects

Creating draft concepts and concept studies according to specifications

Support Design trade studies

Creation of proposal bid and presentation documents and brief descriptions of the design proposals

Lead and execute the detailed design and create fully elaborated assembly designs and interface drawings

Coordinate with other designers assigned to the project

Incorporate and develop advanced concepts, technologies and materials in collaboration with the technology group and manufacturing and JandT design

Creation of the technical documentation (assembly plan, single parts and assembly drawings, parts lists and specifications, test samples) utilizing CAD, SAP and PC applications

Perception of self-control in the context of inputs, especially when submitting mandatory parts model data files

Carrying out the administrative tasks related to release and change management

Evaluate proposed changes, and establish change requests Assess NCs and support the error handling process

Support of manufacturing, testing and PA

Qualifications/Requirements:

B.S. in Engineering

15+ Years of relevant industry experience

Analysis skills on composite and metallic materials covering following domains: Structural (static, dynamic)

Demonstrated success performing in a lead capacity on multiple schedule critical development projects

FEMAP/NxNastran

ABAQUS or other non-linear solver beneficial

Strong Matlab skills

Hand calculation methods

Awareness for costs and schedule

Problem solving skills

Good communication and cooperation

Organizational skills
