About the Role:

The Generative AI Governance and Process Manager will be a key member of the Generative AI Center of Excellence (COE), responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously refining governance frameworks and operational processes for Generative AI technologies. This role ensures that AI initiatives across Xerox are streamlined, responsible, and aligned with business goals, while adapting to the rapid evolution of AI tools and technologies.

You will lead efforts to centralize intake through a unified channel, create synergies between internal business functions, and manage the technology solutions that support these processes. Your work will play a pivotal role in maintaining trust, efficiency, and compliance while enabling scalable Generative AI adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish Governance Frameworks and Processes

  2. Design and implement a centralized governance framework to streamline Generative AI intake, reviews, and approvals.

  3. Develop clear, adaptable processes to evaluate and approve AI use cases, tools, and technologies.

  4. Align governance processes with organizational values, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

  5. Centralize and Streamline Intake and Reviews

  6. Build and manage a unified channel for Generative AI intake, ensuring consistency across business functions.

  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to align on review processes, minimizing redundancies and improving efficiency.

  8. Create a mechanism to prioritize and track Generative AI initiatives from submission through implementation.

  9. Technology Management and Process Support

  10. Identify and implement tools and platforms to support governance processes, including intake management, tracking, and reporting.

  11. Ensure that technology solutions evolve alongside governance needs to support scalable AI adoption.

  12. Partner with IT and external vendors to optimize tool configuration and integration with existing systems.

  13. Adapt Processes to Evolving Technologies

  14. Continuously evaluate and update governance frameworks and processes to keep pace with advancements in Generative AI.

  15. Monitor emerging risks, regulations, and technologies to proactively adjust governance strategies.

  16. Foster a culture of adaptability and innovation in governance practices.

  17. Collaboration and Synergy Building

  18. Work closely with internal business functions (Legal, Privacy, IT, Security, and others) to ensure alignment and eliminate silos in governance efforts.

  19. Act as the central point of contact for cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and shared accountability.

  20. Build relationships with external partners to stay informed on best practices and benchmarks.

  21. Metrics, Reporting, and Communication

  22. Develop metrics and dashboards to track the effectiveness of governance frameworks and processes.

  23. Provide regular updates to leadership on governance performance, risks, and improvements.

  24. Create clear and concise documentation for governance policies, processes, and roles.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in governance, process management, or risk management, preferably within AI, emerging technologies, or IT.

  • Strong background in developing and operationalizing frameworks and processes to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience with technology solutions that support governance, such as workflow tools, intake management systems, or AI platforms.

  • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance regulations related to AI and technology.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business functions and drive alignment in complex organizations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing change.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; certifications in governance, risk, or project management are a plus.
