Universal Health Services Patient Access Operations Analyst III- Revenue Cycle in TREDYFFRIN, Pennsylvania

The UHS' Revenue Cycle Department is hiring a Patient Access Operations Analyst III to work to build, test, and implement new and existing products for UHS facility Patient Access departments in collaboration with external vendors. Documents internal workflow and processes regarding front end revenue cycle including scheduling, pre-services, insurance verification, and registration. Provides ongoing analysis of queries/reports to identify opportunities to improve processes and resolve issues regarding the flow of patients through the front-end revenue cycle process. Educates end users on correct system processes and use of vendor products. Runs/creates automated scripts to address needs within the Revenue Cycle.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Works with vendors, particularly Experian, on new product implementation and existing product improvement.

  • Identifies opportunities, resolves issues independently, and manages/leads projects and technology to improve system processes.

  • Discusses user issues with facility PAS staff and collaborates with external vendors to resolve any issues affecting the patient flow or insurance resolution processes.

  • Documents processes and workflows regarding patient scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and collection processes.

  • Assists in development and execution of facility training and education.

  • Assists the team in resolving tickets opened by UHS external vendors or internal customers.

  • Communicates and engages with senior leaders on relevant operational issues.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in report analysis, must be meticulous and can interpret data trends.

  • Eight plus years functional knowledge of the revenue cycle patient access, collections, healthcare, or related field is preferred.

  • Skill set should include professional written and verbal communication skills as well as proficiencies in Visio, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

  • Advanced logical deduction skills, judgement/critical thinking skills and operational knowledge of Revenue Cycle is required.

  • Must have the ability to create Project plans and articulate to senior manager as well as independently manage solutions, projects, and technology.
