Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, assessing the extent of damage, implementing restoration procedures, and ensuring that properties are restored to pre-damage conditions. The Restoration Technician will play a crucial role in our commitment to delivering high-quality services and exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Response:
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls for property damage restoration.
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine the extent of property damage.
  • Mitigation and Remediation:
  • Implement water extraction and drying procedures to mitigate further damage.
  • Use industry-standard equipment such as pumps, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters.
  • Remove damaged materials and facilitate the restoration process.
  • Microbial remediation
  • Implement fire damage mitigation procedures, including smoke and soot removal.
  • Use specialized equipment and techniques to clean and restore affected areas.
  • Execute microbial remediation plans, including mold and bacteria abatement, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Use specialized equipment and cleaning agents to remove and remediate microbial contaminants.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of the restoration process, including photographs and documentation of affected areas.
  • Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance professionals, and team members.
  • Provide clear explanations of the restoration process and expected timelines.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure that restoration work meets industry standards and complies with company policies.
  • Conduct final inspections to verify the successful completion of restoration projects.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Perform regular maintenance on restoration equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Report any equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in water damage restoration or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of water mitigation and restoration techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment if required.
  • Must have valid drivers license and be able to pass Michigan chauffer's license test.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications in damage restoration (IICRC certification is a plus).
