Paraeducator (Full-Time or Part-Time, Number of Positions to Be Determined)
- Job description: Under the direction of a certified teacher, duties include helping students who require personalized support reach their personal and educational goals, assisting teachers with classroom preparation and management, and keeping administrative records of the students they are working with.
- Work schedule: aligns with the student schedule (similar daily hours to the students, with no work on evenings, weekends, school holidays, breaks, or Professional Development days)
An additional hourly wage differential may be available for candidates willing to obtain a paraeducator certification through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. The district is willing to pay for the coursework required to receive this certification.
