Amazon Sr. RF Systems Engineer, Ring in TPE, Taiwan

Description

Ring is seeking an RF System Engineer who will be a part of our global electrical engineering team, playing a critical role in ensuring the highest product quality standards and driving continuous improvement for the products.

You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for RF HW design and validation activities as follows:

  • High level architecture, platform/component selection, schematic design, placement/layout guidance and review, board bring-up, and test flow planning.

  • Complete RF design and validation by our own with internal resources

  • Issue debug, performance tuning.

  • Second source qualification.

  • Handle RF issues and be the owner/coordinator of internal engineering.

  • Provide test plan and criteria for design stages (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP).

  • Production line assistance, on-site if needed.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Hsinchu City, TPE, TWN | Taipei, TPE, TWN

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field

  • 10+ years’ experience in RF Systems related to 3G/4G technologies , Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products

  • DFM and high-volume manufacturing support experience

  • Experience with prototyping and implementation

  • Excellent understanding of RF technology, especially WiFi and BT (WiFi, BT, GNSS, LTE and LoRa.)

  • Excellent Understanding of Baseband circuity and power management experience.

  • Hands-on RF matching circuity tuning and optimization.

  • Hands-on RF testing with equipment (NA, Spectrum, IQxel, CMW500 etc.)

  • Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

  • Experience with production line activities.

  • Experience with Antenna.

  • Experience with wireless product design in IP CAM, mobile WiFi, AP router, Car cam and handheld device.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent

  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

  • Experience with the project management of technical projects

  • Familiar with RF issues and debugging such as compliance, de-sense, coexistence, EMI, and cross interference.

  • Familiar with CAD tools (OrCAD, Allegro)
